Initially drawn to the beauty of my surroundings, I began a journey into macro and abstract photography, capturing what speaks to me. This expression led to abstract painting with encaustics (hot beeswax) and cold wax. I found the visual richness, luminosity and depth calls forth a form of replication in itself. And I discovered places where time stands still, i.e., learning how to stand still and be astonished!
In art making, I find an ever present sense of wonder.
As the science of neuroaesthetics has proven, creative expression is central to a balanced life.
